Sometimes a glittering career hides some of the darkest tales. Lolo Jones, who was the winner of the USA as well as the World championships in hurdle events in 2013, has only reached this position with a lot of hard work and a lot of patience. Jones grew up with the most difficult of lives as the child of an unwed mother with five children. Her mother had been constantly shifting and even was a resident at the bottom of her home. Jones had an erratic and mobile lifestyle from the moment she started high school, had to move to a new school each year. Jones left her mom to Theodore Roosevelt so that her to pursue her interest in track. She lived with four different families throughout her time at high school to study in one place. Jones was part of both the Iowa School Orchestra as well as the Gatorade Track and Field Award. She also won this award in the school. Jones made it to the top of the college's best hurdlers after entering. In 2002, at the NCAA Track & Field Championships, she won the 100-meter hurdles. Also, she participated on the team that finished second in the 100-meters relay. Jones has won hurdles in the indoor section at NCAA Championships both in 2003 and 2004. Career After completing her studies at the end of 2005 Jones started to train hard to pursue a track career. Jones won both in the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track competitions in the same year.

Brandt immigrated to Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand at the close of her teen years. Discovered by local casting directors Brandt took on the role as Naevia for the Starz hits Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. She was one of the breakout stars for this series, working with Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi. She was a part of the cult Netflix series Lucifer that had a six year run playing the fan favorite Vertigo/DC comic book character Mazikeen. Forbes recognized Lucifer for 2021 and declared it the show with the most number of binge watchers. Brandt is next seen in a 6-episode Walking Dead limited spin-off starring Andrew Lincoln and Danai Giurira, which will air in 2024. Brandt is also set to star alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated series Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley Ann Brandt was born on December 2, in Cape Town, South Africa. She's quite an accomplished New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt moved with her entire family of New Zealand to Auckland in 1999. In Auckland Brandt's first job, she was a salesperson and then was made an expert in IT. Lesley started out modeling before deciding to make an appearance in commercials. She graduated in 2008 and completed her studies in acting. In 2009, she began her acting studies she began her training again by using the Meisner method of study. Lesley's first big role with New Zealand was as a TV actor in Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt appeared in the New Zealand drama Shortland Street, as a visitor supporting role. In a later sci-fi arrangement This Is Not My Life she played the city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt appeared as Naevia a young hostage in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The character was depicted in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
